In Memory of
“To me, she was my favorite person…
my backbone, my mom.”
Born at the AZ state prison ( my great grandfather was warden) my mother grew up on a cattle ranch in Arizona. She and my uncle grew up without running water or electricity. Riding horses and avoiding mineshafts was their childhood. This made for an interesting mother. The mother all my friends wanted to talk to and hang out with. The mother who was my best friend. Aside from the normal teenage rebellion we never fought. I could never seem to get enough of her. The best sidekick to any road trip and my favorite lunch date. We were fun together. You had to put up with us. Everyone has listed her long list of accomplishments and how brilliant she was. None of that matters to me. To me she was just my favorite person, my backbone, my mom. - Jesse Leffler
